MEET VIULA JENNINGS

LICENSED, BONDED AND CERTIFIED  (Speaks English and Tongan fluently)

My passion has always been to serve and help people improve their life and well being. I came to the United States via a student visa for further studies. After I graduated from college I was granted a work visa for two years. Unfortunately, I had to leave my job that I was very passionate about due to the expiration date on my work visa. Seven years later I am finally a US citizen with so many stories to share. Stories I will proudly tell my kids who were fortunate to be born in America.

I was recently Naturalized so what it's like being an immigrant is still very fresh in my memory. Trust me, I went through it all, the long lines at the airport immigration checkpoint every time I return to America. The endless visit to the DMV offices when trying to get a State ID or Driver's license since they often demanded more documents as proof of my status. I struggled for months to get a job offer after graduation because no one wanted to hire a non-resident with a limited work visa. I went through airport interrogation twice just because they felt suspicious. So you see, the fear of getting deported and violating my status haunted me as an immigrant and I always felt like there was a big dark cloud hanging over my head.

The limitation of being an immigrant is one of the many life lessons that I'm glad to have experienced. It led me to pursue this career so I can be of use to others in the same situation. A simple change of status in this country can be life changing and it can also help many to find hope and a sense of purpose. My main goal is to serve ALL immigrants and to help them get a better life and future for themselves and their families. I help them gain proper access to the benefits and advantages of being an American resident or citizen.
